“It does look a bit like Ballroom dancing … with big trousers,” says my friend, with what looks suspicious like a smirk. I try not to be irritated and focus on one-point.

“It is very fluid and graceful,” I reply, taking the high road.

“He’s not really being thrown though, is he? He’s letting himself be thrown. What’s the good in that?”

There are two upcoming seminars in the Western United States.

AAA Teaching Committee member Ken MacBeth Sensei, godan, is teaching a seminar at Jyushinkan Dojo at Utah State University on January 25 and 26.

Ryushinkan Dojo in San Diego, CA will be hosting the West Coast Instructor’s Seminar, with instruction by the Western Region AAA Teaching Committee from February 29 - March 2.
